Pusha T Dodges Drake Diss, Salutes Kendrick Lamar & J. Cole Up Via Twitter

Pusha T‘s DAYTONA is still very much front of mind for many fans, despite the shot from Drake and the “Duppy” diss track. While Push addressed the track by quoting one of the bars, he’s dodging the jabs and instead quoted himself while bigging up Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole.

As heard on DAYTONA‘s “Infrared,” Pusha T opens up the verse saying, “Believe in myself and the Coles and Kendricks/Let the sock puppets play in their roles and gimmicks” as he went for self on the album’s final track. Push quoted this portion of the verse in a tweet from Kendrick Lamar and thanked him for throwing support behind his new project, which has passed most critical high marks thus far.

This proves to be rather interesting as there was some chatter than K-Dot and Drizzy had some unspoken beef and with the Compton lyricist bigging up DAYTONA, could there be more smoke on the horizon? Stay tuned.

J. Cole and Lil Pump Interviewed Each Other, Here's a Preview

We didn't see this one coming. After meeting each other for the first time at Rolling Loud in Miami earlier this month, J. Cole and Lil Pump decided to sit down and interview each other.

Everyday Struggle co-host DJ Akademiks shared a preview clip of their interview Tuesday evening. Taken out of context from the rest of the conversation, the short snippet is a little difficult to follow, but Pump is heard talking about getting in an argument with someone over the smell of weed in a house.

Pump first claimed he and Cole were "on good terms now" during an interview at the Billboard Music Awards this weekend. This came after weeks of awkwardness between the two because of J. Cole's KOD closer, "1985 - Intro to 'The Fall Off,'" which many fans perceived to be a Lil Pump diss song.

Akademiks said the two "actually fuck with each other" in a follow-up video on YouTube Tuesday night. He explained, "There is an interview that will be surfacing very soon between J. Cole and Lil Pump."

He also added, "They're just really talking candidly about all types of things and they're trying to bridge the gap generationally."

J. Cole Interviews Lil Pump in Hour-Long

Watch the two rappers work out the beef with a one hour talk.

J. Cole has shared an interview with Lil Pump on his official YouTube channel. The hour-long sitdown at The Sheltuh in North Carolina marks a turn in the often fraught relationship between the two rappers: some fans believed Cole's 2016 track “Everybody Dies” was referencing Pump in the following lyrics:

Believing the record was a diss, Pump responded on social media, saying “Wow you get so much props. You diss a 17-year-old. Lame-ass jit.” However, J. Cole stopped the crowd at one of his recent concerts from chanting "Fuck Lil Pump," and at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, Pump revealed that the beef was squashed: "We on good terms," he said.

J. Cole shut down a “Fuck Lil Pump” chant at this concert this weekend

J. Cole shut down a brief chanting of "Fuck Lil Pump" during his set at this weekend's JMBLYA Fest, Complex reports. The chant started during a brief pause in his set, but was cut off when J. Cole told the crowd "Nah, don't do that...Don't say that." A few shouts of "Fuck 6x9" were also quieted by the order. J. Cole then performed "1985."

The incident comes just after J. Cole told Vulture that he was starting to appreciate younger, more popular artists, naming XXXTentacion, Trippie Redd, and Lil Baby as current favorites. Last month, the crowd at a Smokepurpp concert began a "Fuck J. Cole" chant. They were not encouraged to stop,
